THE GIFT OF MUSIC
This is concert season. Lots of local students have given or will give their final concerts of the year this week or next.
Take some time to reflect on the power, the wonder and the joy of music.
What a great gift from God!

TELL ME HOW YOUR LIFE HAS CHANGED
I am interested to know how computers, the internet and social networking have changed you. Specifically:
How do you prefer to get information? Face to face conversation (remember that?), phone calls, emails, Face Book postings
How do you build relationships? Who are you connected with through the computer—long lost friend, strangers, family members?
How has your thinking pattern changed? Do you think you are now a more visual learner than you were?

GIVE A TESTIMONY OF FAITH
Over these next few weeks there will be lots of celebrations: confirmations, graduations, weddings and anniversaries. At this time of year we give gifts. We send cards. We hold parties and open houses.
Make sure you take these opportunities to share your faith in Christ. When you give a gift, see if you can give something that will help another’s walk with Jesus. When you send a card, make sure you include a word from God. When you have people in your house, make sure it is clear that Jesus lives there!
And if your kids receive some award or recognition at this time of year, help them to include thanks to God for it!

SPEAKING OF TESTIMONIES
This Sunday in our 11:00 service nine young people will give testimony to their confidence in God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It is Confirmation Sunday!
We go to great pains in the Church to make sure that the confirmands understand that this is far more of a beginning than an ending. This is not a graduation! It is more a coming of age in the faith whereby young people have been equipped with a greater sophistication in understanding to go out into the world for Jesus. We encourage them to continue to grow in ever greater understanding and to continue to go out into the world.
How about you? How about others in your family? Have you continued to grow in understanding? Have you continued to go out into the world?
Spend some time this weekend considering your own life of faith and faithfulness.
Let’s let this be a Confirmation Sunday for all!
